Moms Words: another capture of the baby raccoon, who has the mama that is blind. As of today (24th June) they are still around, as hubby saw them both twice, but I missed them today.
captured from the open front window while it and its mama were at the water bath/fountain on the front patio again.
Moms words: here’s the blind Mama raccoon again, drinking at our water fountain on the front patio, early February. She has been visiting us each morning for several weeks, but we didn’t see her here today.
I love this picture. Taken outside my place on my Daughters Graduation. Both my Gramma and my Mother gone now 😦
moms words: me and some of my family outside my daughter’s home, just before Jess left for the Prom. There are 3 generations here, but my daughter took the photo, so she wasn’t in it, and I didn’t think at the time to get a 4 generation pic of us all together. Jess and her great grandma aged 94, my oldest Grandson Shane, my little sister and me, holding the camera of course 🙂 Didn’t realize how dark my prescription lenses of my glasses go, when out in the sunlight. (they are those transitions lenses that go back to normal when indoors
I loves moms garden. She was an avid gardener her whole life and this is how I remember her place. So beautiful.. buzzing with bees , butterfly’s everywhere.. raccoons, squirrels, hummingbirds.
Moms words: this is a photo of our front patio area, taken many years ago, before we had our Labs and before the “online addiction” began and arthritis set in : ) and was really into gardening, especially lots of annuals, as can be seen here.
After the arrival of the Labs, we now just plant mainly perennials which seem to survive anything, plus the dogs are older and don’t wander into the garden area anymore. But we focus a lot on planter tubs and hanging baskets now anyway.
I love these ones Mom did by manipulating her photos.
Moms words: Poppies on our front patio, reminiscent of Moonlight and Satin. Digitally manipulated image. Petals look as smooth as satin.
Moms words: baby yellow finch male (goldfinch) puffball, after taking a dip in the bathing area on our front patio. He’s preparing to go in for another bathing session.
mom was an avid gardener. She had such a way with plants. Such a green thumb! I definitely did not inherit this trait though I wish I did.
Moms comment: purple heliotrope flowers blooming on a tall plant in a pot on our patio. It has a beautiful scent, like vanilla.
