Gelato Cafe-treats here on a summer evening

This picture doesn’t seem like much but I love looking at these and reading Moms words about how much she enjoyed her times here.

Moms words:  this is the Gelato cafe that we like to visit on a summer evening when in that area, – this is out front of the Aberdeen Mall, opposite the Starbucks coffee shop in the other image. You can see the Gelato selections reflected in the glass “overhang” at top of image, the gelato is in the clear plastic topped showcase/cooler to the right of the image.

There’s another nice Gelato cafe in the area where my daughter lives, so we visit that one when there 🙂 we “try” to be good and choose the fruit based sorbets & frozen yogurts rather than the ice creams. they are all “oh so good”.

Family-Prom Day-3 Generations

I love this picture. Taken outside my place on my Daughters Graduation.   Both my Gramma and my Mother gone now 😦

moms words: me and some of my family outside my daughter’s home, just before Jess left for the Prom. There are 3 generations here, but my daughter took the photo, so she wasn’t in it, and I didn’t think at the time to get a 4 generation pic of us all together. Jess and her great grandma aged 94, my oldest Grandson Shane, my little sister and me, holding the camera of course 🙂 Didn’t realize how dark my prescription lenses of my glasses go, when out in the sunlight. (they are those transitions lenses that go back to normal when indoors

Christmas Dog/Ruggles-little Bichon Frise

Just another one of Moms many rescues ❤️❤️

Here is Ruggles, the little old dog that we rescued on Christmas Day. Nobody wanted him, so we took him in. The Yellow Lab “girls” have accepted Ruggles and the Abyssinian cat is getting over it : ) a bit of hissing goes on sometimes LOL.
He’s in need of grooming, but we are leaving that for now, rather than stress him out.
excuse date, but used my old camera and forgot the dates are set to show up on pics.

Maggie and Lucy sharing a log

These dogs were the best dogs ever. Mom got Maggie first and was raising her for the BC Guide Dogs. Maggie got her claw caught in the escalator during training in a mall and afterwards would never use the escalator again which made her unacceptable as a seeing eye dog. Mom adopted her without a second thought and a couple years later rescued Lucy.

Mom’s 75th Birthday

This is a picture of my Mother taken on her 75th Birthday.

I thought it would be appropriate to post her photo because you will be seeing all of her precious photos and reading her notes attached to them.

This is what Mom wrote in her profile in her photography club:
Hi all, Alandra here, living in Canada (South-Western British Columbia). Have been taking photos since about age 11, beginning in England before my parents brought us to Canada. Started using digital cameras about 7 years ago, and love them. It’s a wonderful hobby. Enjoy capturing images of wild birds that visit our feeders and water baths & fountains in our garden, as well as the many larger birds that live in our area, like great blue herons and snowy owls and great horned owls, eagles, hawks etc. Also enjoy gardening and taking photos of the flowers we grow, as well as scenic views of the mountains etc in our area. Manipulating some of my images also gives me a lot of pleasure, as does being a member of The Lens Flare. Many thanks to Brian for all he has done for us.
