Moms comment: Bald Eagle on a treetop, taken from far away with telephoto lens on 400mm, – he was high up also.
You can see his tongue in this one : )
At one point there was a lot of screeching going on from this Eagle. The great blue herons were going crazy, also making a Lot of noise, in fright.
Moms words: white foxgloves that remind me of white wedding bells and some wildflowers growing beside them, upper border on our front patio. The foxgloves have grown very tall this year and we’ve really enjoyed them. Captured from open front window.
Moms Words: another capture of the baby raccoon, who has the mama that is blind. As of today (24th June) they are still around, as hubby saw them both twice, but I missed them today.
captured from the open front window while it and its mama were at the water bath/fountain on the front patio again.
Moms words: here’s the blind Mama raccoon again, drinking at our water fountain on the front patio, early February. She has been visiting us each morning for several weeks, but we didn’t see her here today.
Moms words: beautiful Cedar Waxwing checking out our front patio. captured from open front window with telephoto lens. Believe this is the female of the pair that visited yesterday
Moms comment: great blue heron gathering twigs for its nest. About 5 minutes from where we live, there’s a huge colony/rookery of nesting great blue herons, and there are some bald eagle pairs nesting there also.
Moms words: beautiful dark blue Iris in a neighbour’s garden.
